Techno Classica in Essen

Today, this year's Techno Classica in Essen ends.
This year we have visited these top trade fair weather.
As a Dutchman we had a long journey, but were still on time as previously scheduled by 9 clock location.

Our club membership of the Dutch Daf-club luckily we did not pay the entrance, with 4 people were so already saved 80 euros.

This Saturday the show was very well attended, in part, the visitors pushed in long lines through the aisles. Many visitors tried out with the crowd carried digital cameras to photograph the vehicles on display.

But that was not so easy. Times was a hole in the stream of visitors from the selected image object then you should not have time to raise their camera and take pictures of the vehicle had. From left to right or right and then again and again people ran from the lens.

With the expensive Bugatti, Maserati, Lamborginis, DKWs, Horch and issued numerous other classic cars, which should cost more than 100 000 €, quickly formed clusters of photographers who are just waiting to finally get the shot.

Our Wim was a clear advantage, because he had always visit our exhibition stand nearly three meters high bar here, so be nice way over the heads of other people's pictures of the vehicles.

The buzz in the audience was again this year at international level, many of our compatriots but also Finnish, Swedes, French and English were heard.
This proves that this year the show has lost none of its attraction.

The Halls 1-12 were to explore the outer side where the vehicle private providers.

Very interesting were the classic estates of the big brands like Mercedes Benz, was also learned a lot about the development of automotive engineering. Some vehicles were from the years after 1900 there were a few movie reviews to the information terminals.

For our friend Gerrit we especially should pay attention to the electric field, ie vehicles with electric drive.

This, however, we found little evidence or only one vehicle and a lorry on the type of Hansa Lloyd in the early years of the last century. This was in the open. (See photos)

At the club level of the DAF German friends, we talked for a long time, our Mike tried like every year the blue DAF Marathon Convertible to buy, but what he did again this year. Therefore, we succeeded in this state, the lunch and rest there for 1 hour. Rest our feet were especially needed. Then it went further.

Very interesting conversation with the boss of the Association of German museums for the car, engine and equipment eV, this association also had a booth and inform interested parties about the German museum street or in a car museums in Germany.

If a show car, but it was no big gaudy old cars left there is only a small Fiat Topolino.

In an interview, the head of the association, which would in a car museum in Altlussheim are lots of electric vehicles. The local management team, a unique collection gathered.

It quickly became the day was over and at 18 hours, we realized our feet.

We ended our visit to the exhibition, and left the Essen fair chance with a total of 1782 digital photographs.
